Yes. Every converter is free, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you convert. It costs Ethical Tube nothing to run, because the conversion happens on your own device rather than on a server.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Each conversion runs inside your browser with WebAssembly and Web Workers, so your files never leave your device. That makes it safe for private documents, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
What can it convert?

Why do some conversions download something first?
A few conversions need a bigger engine: FFmpeg for older video formats (10 MB), LibreOffice for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files (77 MB), and Tesseract for reading text from images (6 MB). Each downloads once from Ethical Tube's own server and is cached for next time. Your files are never uploaded.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no upload limit because nothing is uploaded. The practical limit is your device's memory: everyday files are fine, and a computer can usually handle videos up to about 2 GB.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on iPhone and Android. Long videos and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint conversions are faster and more reliable on a computer.
